I made this for the first time tonight and it was delicious! I used chicken tenderloins, and rather than leaving them whole, I cut them up at the end and let them soak in the sauce before serving. (That way we could eat our dinner rather than spend it cutting up the kids' food.)
photo and recipe from thesisterscafe.com
1 tsp salt
1½ tsp chili powder
1½ tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
4 whole boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 Tbsp butter
5-6 Tbsp heavy cream
(mashed potatoes or rice)
Combine the seasonings and coat chicken breasts.
In a
large sauté pan melt the butter and cook chicken over medium heat for about 7
to 8 minutes, turning once.
Pour the cream into the skillet and lower the heat.
Simmer
for several minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Serve chicken breasts
on a bed of mashed potatoes or rice and
top with the sauce.
