I have made all of these recipes myself. I always try to show the original source of the recipe, but am constantly editing them to suit our tastes (so technically they should all say "Adapted from..."). The portions are generally small since my family doesn't consume much food in one sitting.

When searching in the categories below, don't forget to click on "older posts" at the bottom right of the screen after scrolling through them to see more recipes in that category.

*I have recently added a $ label to show that I've calculated the price of the recipe. All prices include 3% food tax.*

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Chews (Anita Heap)

$3.49 with 3% tax

½ c peanut butter
½ c corn syrup
1 c instant nonfat powdered milk (not from cannery)
2/3 c powdered sugar
½ c chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients (except chocolate chips) together. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour onto sheet of plastic wrap and roll into a tube. Refrigerate 1 hour. Cut into slices or roll into balls. Serve

  1. Just wondering why you specified that the powdered milk shouldnt be from the cannery. Its the only kind I have. :) Thanks.

  2. Good question! The powdered milk from the cannery is super fine and dense, so when you make this recipe with it, they turn out hard and dense. The regular store-bought kind is made of bigger granules that result in a light and chewy treat.
